A pharmacy that tells you the price before you swipe your card. We accept most major plans, bill insurance first, and quote our cash price when coverage falls short. No surprises at pickup.
We're contracted with most major commercial, Medicare Part D, and Medi-Cal plans. Don't see yours? Call (323) 348-4205 with your card and we'll verify in 10 minutes.
*Kaiser members: TFC is out-of-network for most Kaiser plans, but for compounded medications not available at Kaiser we can often dispense at a competitive cash price. Call to verify before filling.
When insurance denies a compound — or when the cash price is better than your copay — here's the typical range. Ranges below are illustrative and depend on strength, quantity, base, and active ingredient sourcing. For an exact quote on your prescription, call (323) 348-4205.
Prices reflect typical TFC cash-pay for May 2026. Final price depends on strength, quantity, and active-ingredient market cost — we'll always quote before dispensing. No membership fee, no subscription.
Prior authorizations, appeals, and copay-assistance programs are part of our standard service — not an upcharge. Three things we do for every patient whose claim hits a wall.
We submit the PA paperwork to your insurer for you. Most decisions back in 3–5 business days. We follow up if they sit on it.
For brand drugs, we identify and enroll you in available copay cards — often dropping a $150 copay to $5 or $10.
For high-cost specialty meds, we connect uninsured / underinsured patients with the manufacturer's patient assistance program.
Common questions about how we handle billing, prior authorizations, and out-of-pocket pricing.
Sometimes. Coverage varies wildly between PBMs and even between plans within the same insurer. We bill your insurance first; if denied, we tell you our cash price (typically 30–55% below the retail compound market). Some patients elect to pay cash anyway because it's cheaper than their copay.
Welcome. Our cash-pay prices are competitive with the major discount cards (GoodRx, SingleCare). You don't need to bring anything special — just a valid prescription. For high-cost meds, we can also help with manufacturer patient-assistance programs.
Compounded prices reflect three things: the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) cost, the base / vehicle, and the labor to compound. Higher-cost APIs (some BHRT actives, peptides, controlled substances) drive higher prices. We don't mark up beyond the typical compounding industry margin.
Two reasons. First, as a small independent we don't pay franchise/corporate overhead, so we can run on smaller margins. Second, we have direct relationships with our API suppliers and pass the savings on. Plus, we genuinely think pharmacy pricing should be readable, not weaponized.
Yes — directly. Just present the card at checkout. Eligible items include all prescription medications and most OTC items prescribed for a medical condition. We can also provide itemized receipts for reimbursement.
Often, yes. Medicare Part B covers walkers, wheelchairs, CPAP supplies, and diabetes monitoring with a prescription. Medi-Cal covers incontinence and some DME with a Treatment Authorization Request — we help submit it. See medical-supplies.html for details.
Yes. Call us with the drug name, strength, and quantity (and your insurance info if you have it). We'll quote both the insured copay and our cash price. No commitment, no judgment if you don't fill with us — but we usually win the comparison.
No. Free delivery in our zone, free pharmacist consultations, free PA submission, free copay-assistance enrollment. We charge for the prescription. That's it.
