Why TFC for women's health

Three reasons OBGYNs send their hardest patients here.

Vehicles for sensitive tissue

Vaginal mucosa, vulvar skin, and post-procedural tissue need specific bases. Hypoallergenic, preservative-free, pH-balanced — not whatever's on the shelf.

Combinations in one prescription

Patient with vulvodynia, dryness, and recurrent bacterial vaginosis can get amitriptyline / estriol / boric acid in formulations the prescriber decides — not three Rxs to coordinate.

Discretion built in

Discreet packaging, free local delivery in our service zone, pharmacist consultations by phone if a patient doesn't want to come in. Privacy is a feature.

Common questions

Women's health compounds, frequently asked.

Are vaginal compounds safe?

Yes, when prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy to a prescriber's specification. We use vaginal-mucosa-appropriate bases, preservative-free where indicated, and pH-balanced for the application site. We are PCAB-accredited; all non-sterile compounds meet USP <795> standards, sterile preparations are made under <797>, and hormone-containing compounds follow USP <800> hazardous-drug containment.

Does insurance cover women's health compounds?

It varies. Compounded estriol and HRT-related preparations are sometimes covered, sometimes not. Vulvodynia and combo creams are usually out-of-pocket. Our typical cash prices: $35–95 for a 30-day supply. We bill insurance first and tell you the cash price up front if denied.

Can these formulas be made for trans patients?

Yes. We compound for both feminizing and masculinizing protocols on prescriber order. Marcus, our specialty Rx pharmacist, leads our gender-affirming care work.

How discreet is your packaging?

All Rx is dispensed in opaque amber containers with standard pharmacy labels — no product descriptions visible on the outside. Delivery is in plain bags, signature required.

Can a patient transfer an existing women's health compound to TFC?

Yes. They can use our transfer form or call (323) 348-4205. We handle the call to the prior pharmacy. Most transfers complete in 4 hours.

Need a women's health compound filled?

Prescribers: send the Rx and we'll handle the rest. Patients: transfer from another pharmacy — we handle the paperwork.
